Today HBO has started broadcasting a new TV series from the creator of Six Feet Under (one of my favorite TV series): True Blood. True Blood is based on the Southern Vampire Mysteries books by Charlaine Harris and adapted for television by Alan Ball. The show details the co-existence of vampires and humans in a small Louisiana town after Japanese-made synthetic blood â?? “TruBlood” â?? becomes available for purchase. Anna Paquin stars as Sookie Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress at a diner who falls in love with one of the vampires, Bill Compton (portrayed by Stephen Moyer). If it’s as good as Six Feet Under I am definately hooked…

So, after waking up on a rainy morning I drove my car through little villages to the Niagara Falls: the massive waterfalls on the Niagara River, straddling the international border separating the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of New York. A very busy and touristy area. Fortunately the rain had gotten less intense but it was still very cloudy. Bad weather for photography but I snapped some shots anyways; impressive waterfalls eh?

So after the Falls I drove slowly, listening to more Monkey News, to Toronto to check in the hotel I booked last night. But, when I got there they didn’t have my reservation! Even though I had a confirmation in my mailbox from bookings.com. So the guy asked me: ‘When did you book‘, ‘Last night‘, ‘Ah, we dont have it, there was just a guy here who had the same problem‘… problem? problem? CRAP hotel you mean you little nitwit! What’s the use of using an online booking system if you don’t handle the reservations?! So I said I was gonna write a bad review about his crappy hotel and I left.

So now I am in some motel in a industrial area out of Toronto. Good thing is that the room is good. I tried to book another room for tomorrow in Toronto but most hotels are already full and only the expensive ones are left. So I decided to book a hotel on Tuesday for 4 nights in Montréal -directly with the hotel- instead. I still want to see Toronto a little bit so I will just drive to the center tomorrow and park my car and walk around. Probably I will spend the night again in a motel somewhere between Toronto and Montréal and arrive at Les Suites Labelle in Montréal on Tuesday.

ps. hello Google friends: Downtowner Inn Toronto is CRAP, go sleep someplace else!
