On Thursday I went to see some shops; I had looked on the internet for interesting shops and seemingly there were a couple in North and Lakeview. The shops turned out not to be that good but it was fun to see some other areas of Chicago instead of just the city centre. While I was there I walked over to 3448 N. Greenview Ave, the former house of Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan where he lived from 1993 untill 2001. Back in the ninetees I really loved the Smashing Pumpkins so it is quite interesting to see the house where Billy Corgan wrote many of the classic songs. He has a bit odd taste though; aparantly he painted the house purple just after buying it. And it still is quite purple:
